We often associate who we are with where we came from. We convince ourselves that who our family is matters, what neighborhood we come from and our past choices become things that we constantly look back on. Spending time looking in the rear view mirror takes our focus off of our current pursuit. In order to move forward in our recovery we must free ourselves from our past.
