Gene Hackman died of heart disease days after his wife died of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, officials say. Brad Sigmon, 67, was executed by firing squad in South Carolina – the first U.S. execution of its kind since 2010. He admitted to killing his ex-girlfriend’s parents with a baseball bat and kidnapping her after she refused to reconcile. The Athena moon lander touched down Thursday in a crater near the lunar south pole and tipped over on its side, a new photo shows.
