In this Sunday’s message, Pastor Andrew preaches from Song of Solomon 2:8–13 on the call of the Bridegroom to His bride: “Rise up, My love, My fair one, and come away.”
The Song of Solomon may seem like just a love story between a man and a woman, but Paul reminds us: “first the natural, then the spiritual” (1 Corinthians 15:46). Spiritually, this passage paints a powerful picture of Christ and His church. Just as the Bridegroom calls His bride, Jesus is calling His people today into intimacy with Him.
In this message, Pastor Andrew challenges us with three calls:
1️⃣ Come away from the world – We cannot cling to the world and still pursue the presence of Christ.
2️⃣ Come away from religion – God is after relationship, not ritual.
3️⃣ Come away to the secret place – Beyond separation, Christ invites us into deep intimacy with Him.
The season is changing. Winter is past. Flowers are appearing. The voice of the Beloved is calling: “Rise up, My love, and come away.”
