🚗 Carpooling with Jesus is back! 🎉 Picture this: Jesus is joining your ride to school. What would He say when you’re feeling sad? In today’s episode (Day 2), Pastor Justin dives into Matthew 5:4:
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
We all feel sad sometimes. Mourning is when we experience deep sadness, like when something hurts our feelings or we lose someone we care about. But here’s the beautiful promise: Jesus says we are blessed because God Himself will comfort us.
💡 Key Takeaways for Kids and Parents:
- Mourning means feeling deep sadness, and that’s okay—Jesus understands because He felt sadness too.
- God doesn’t leave us alone when we’re sad. He comforts us with His love and peace.
- We can:
- Pray: Tell God how we feel. “God, I’m sad today. Please comfort me.”
- Lean on others: Talk to parents, teachers, or friends—they’re here to help.
- Be there for others: When someone feels sad, a kind word, a listening ear, or just sitting with them can share God’s love.
🗣 Car Ride Question: When someone around you is sad, what can you do to help them feel better?
