Today I’m talking about job hopping and the debate around whether it’s good or bad for your career. Early in my career, I moved around a lot for different reasons — relocations, divestitures, bad culture, or toxic managers. I believe if you hate your job, you shouldn’t stay just to build tenure. Being unhappy at work hurts you and the team.I also discuss the importance of building real relationships with recruiters before expecting them to find you a job. It’s about long-term connections not instant placements. Sometimes people chase titles or money and jump jobs too quickly. But job hopping isn’t always bad - context matters.I share how I manage my team with honest conversations and support for their growth. Leadership means people management and making sure your team feels valued and engaged. Thanks for listening and join the conversation by tagging me @NikkWinstonCPA and using #CareerConvos™️. Let’s keep the conversation going at nikkwinstoncpa.com/careerIf this episode reflects what you’re living through at work, book time on my calendar for career coaching. We’ll talk through the realities of your current job, what’s shifting around you, and how to position yourself for the job you love - and loves you back.CPA exam coaching sessions are available on my CPA Exam page. I've also shared CPA exam coaching session replays, exam tutorials, and the exact steps I took to pass the CPA exam over there.
