Carolin keeps pace with the Rangers who beat the Islanders Thursday night. By winning, Carolina clinches home ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs as the Penguins are 9 points behind the Hurricanes with just four games left. Carolina next plays Saturday afternoon in New Jersey.
