<p>Dimitry Orlov scored twice as the Canes cooled off the red hot Capitals, 4-2, at Lenovo Center. Martin Necas factored in on the first three Hurricanes goals, setting up Orlov for the first and third. In between, his quick breakaway brought Carolina back even 2 1/2 minutes into the 2nd period. Necas has 18 points (6 goals, 12 assists) in his first 10 games after his 3rd consecutive multi-point game. He has 6 of those in his last 8 games. But, the real story tonight was Pyotr Kochetkov's steady, mature performance in net. 19 saves was all that was needed, but he was rock solid throughout. </p>
