<p>The Carolina Hurricanes scored 4 times in a 5:30 span in the middle of the first period and mashed the Edmonton Oilers, 6-3, getting the Thanksgiving weekend off to a great start.&nbsp; The Canes got goals from Jesper Fast, Jack Drury, Teuvo Teravainen and Seth Jarvis as they roasted the Edmonton defense in the 1st period.&nbsp; Then Martin Necas stuffed home an early goal in the 2nd period to make it 5-1 before the tryptophan took over.&nbsp; Antti Raanta started, but left after one period with a lower body injury.&nbsp; Pyotr Kochetkov finished up and played well in relief.&nbsp; Carolina will try for a 3rd straight win on Friday when they host Tampa Bay.</p>
