The worst maritime disaster in the history of British Columbia, the Princess Sophia sat for 36 hours on a reef as waves lashed against the boat. Then, in the dark of night and a snowstorm, it slipped off the reef and sunk in 30 minutes. Over 350 people died upon that ship. This is the story of that sinking.
