In 1970, Canada made the decision to ditch Imperial measurements and go metric. If you think the carbon tax was a hot button issue, then the metric system was that multiplied by 1000. From Conservative MPs opening a gas station that sold by the gallon, to regular people suing the government, it was not an easy transition. This is the story of that change that had lasting impacts on Canada.
