Show Notes

Through his life, Chief Dan George would be a chief of his people, a poet, an activist and musicians. It was as an actor he found the most success though, earning an Oscar nomination in 1971. He was much more than that, and his Lament for Confederation in 1967 remains a touchstone for Indigenous activism in the 20th century.
