On December 9th, 2001, novelist Michael Peterson found his wife Kathleen Peterson at the bottom of the staircase inside their mansion in Durham, North Carolina. His frantic 911 call would begin a murder investigation & a dramatic trial full of so many twists and turns that our heads are still spinning, and heated debates over this case continue 20+ years later.
