Show Notes

Frances Bula has been covering urban issues and city politics in Vancouver since 1994. From drug policy to bike lanes to billion-dollar development projects to homelessness to garbage debates and more, Frances has covered it. Today her work can be found in the Globe and Mail and she's previously written for Vancouver Magazine, BCBusiness and over 20 years at the Vancouver Sun (plus many, many other publications). She's also prolific on Twitter @fabulavancouver

We spoke with Frances about her career as a journalist, covering city hall, how the city has changed in her time covering it, how this election is different and we ask a number of questions from our Twitter followers.

We know there's a ton of news about campaign finance laws, the NPA's newest mayoral candidate and electoral system, Morgane Oger's possible mayoral bit and more. We'd actually planned to talk about all of this but we ended up covering so much with Frances that we'll have to get back to it in our next episode, likely next week.
