Stephanie Davies-Arai (@cwknews) has been reporting on the "trans kids" phenomenon via her website transgendertrend.com since 2015. In this conversation, we trace the trajectory of this movement from the linguistic distinction between sex and gender, to the modification of children's bodies to conform to an incorporeal identity. We also cover her work testifying at the Kiera Bell hearing, which outcome, according to Stephanie, is a sea change in the ways in which we perceive and shape gender non-conforming children.
