Show Notes

Galveston County grand jury indicts James Dolphs Elmore Junior for the murder of Laura Miller, daughter of Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller, forty-two years after the crime. Elmore faces manslaughter charges and felony tampering with evidence. He was arrested and denied bail. This breakthrough comes from the Texas Killing Fields near League City, where bodies of about thirty women were found over decades. The Galveston County District Attorneys Office, led by new DA Kenneth Cusick and Chief Assistant Kate Willis, formed a task force to re-interview witnesses and dig into old evidence. The task force targeted prime suspect Clyde Hedrick, who passed away before the grand jury met. Prosecutors and cops from seven departments are still working on these cold cases.
