Bradly Wiebe, a former University of North Dakota forward, made his NHL debut with the Calgary Flames after a whirlwind week that included the NCAA Frozen Four. Despite a tough loss in the semifinals, Wiebe signed his pro contract and joined the Flames in Seattle. He played eleven minutes in his debut, earning an even plus-minus rating and a minor penalty.
