Roger Kish enters his third season as the Oklahoma head coach. As Sanderson notes, the Sooners had plenty of success in the transfer portal this offseason. Two of the newcomers, Rafael Hipolito (from Virginia Tech) and Peyten Kellar (Ohio) are top 20 portal additions, per InterMat. They wrestle in the 157- and 165-pound weight classes, respectively.

Besides those two, who are Nos. 7 and 17 in their respective weight class rankings, per InterMat, Oklahoma also added expected starter Tyson Carmoli from Wyoming at 133, two-time NCAA qualifier Tyler Wells at 141 from Minnesota, Jack Gioffre from Virginia at 149, and senior Brian Soldano from Rutgers at 184 pounds.
