The Penn State Nittany Lions Football team opened the doors of the Lasch football facility to the media on Thursday for the second time this spring. Penn State practice reactions We’ll start today’s show by discussing what we saw of the Penn State offense and defense during practice this morning. BWI was out on the football field with the offense and defense and had reactions and thoughts about what we saw. The biggest news of the day was that starting quarterback Rocco Becht and receivers Brett Eskildsen and Chase Sowell were practicing with the offense during install periods today. We’ll discuss what we saw and how they looked during their reps. Next, we’ll pivot to discussing what we saw and heard after practice, starting with Campbell. Then, we’ll pivot to discussing what we heard from the other players and coaches we spoke with after practice. Offensive coordiantor Taylor Mouser and the tight ends, along with special teams coordinator Justin Lustig and the specialists, were available for the media to speak with. The Penn State Nittany Lions football team is now in the second half of spring practice. The team will open up camp to the media tomorrow for the second time this year as part of this second-half push. Today, we’re discussing the players we have yet to learn about this spring and what we want to learn about them. We’ll go position by position to discuss the underrated or untalked-about names so far in camp. Penn State football recruiting and transfer portal news The biggest news out of Penn State sports this week is that men’s basketball standout Kayden Mingo has entered the NCAA Transfer portal. We’ll discuss the impact of this move on the program and the hard reset that the team is experiencing this offseason after a disastrous year in 2025-2026. There’s also been plenty of good news for Penn State with football recruiting heating up over the last few days. Both Rivals national reporters and our own Ryan Snyder and Sean Fitz have had multiple stories on the site about the reaction to players visiting the program this past week. We’ll highlight the biggest news items, including quarterback Peter Bourque’s visit today. The team is now transitioning to the second half of its first set of practices under new head coach Matt Campbell, and we’re discussing that on today’s show.
