Novo Nordisks Wegovy outperforms Eli Lillys Foundayo in weight loss for obesity treatment, according to a cross-trial analysis. The 25mg dose of Wegovy resulted in 3.2% more weight loss than Foundayos 36mg dose, despite higher dropout rates in Foundayo. Wegovy users also experienced fewer gut side effects and adverse events. A survey of U.S. adults favored Wegovys profile, and it has reached over 600,000 patients since its U.S. launch. Foundayo, approved recently, has similar pricing and dosing requirements. Both companies vie for market share in the oral GLP-one space.
