The Buffalo Bills endured a miserable 17-year stretch of playoff-less football from 2000-2017. On the latest episode of Billieve, one week after dissecting the best of the drought-era Bills, host John Boccacino and Jamie D'Amico take their turn at playing general manager, assembling two teams featuring the worst Bills players from the playoff drought. This 16-man snake draft features a QB, RB, WR, TE, LT, LG, C, RG and RT on offense. Our defense features an interior DT, DE, LB, CB, S, kicker and punter. We also drafted a coach to “lead” our dubious squads of underachieving Bills from the drought-era. We know it’s not a complete team, but neither were many of the Bills squads that took the field during the drought! The rules? Players had to suit up for the Bills between 2000-2017 (players who logged time during the 90s were considered so long as they weren't thought of as a major contributor to the Super Bowl-era Bills); they had to have started at least eight games in Buffalo; they were drafted based on contributions at their primary position; one-year busts were not only considered, they were sought after; and we did not include current Bills who were on the 2017 team that snapped the drought (ie: Vlad Ducasse).
