Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has proven to be good at a lot of things. At the top of the list might be his ability to evaluate quarterbacks. Day hand-picked 2021 quarterback recruit Kyle McCord very early in the process. In fact, Day turned away quarterback who were rated much higher than McCord, who committed to the Buckeyes last year. Since then, McCord has continued to rise up the rankings and is now a 5-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite.
