How should future of CFP look? | Hoops program 'dead on the vine'

The Friday 5ish takes a look at how the future of the CFP should be shaped. We also look ahead to the Buckeyes' spring ball, and we unfortunately think our colleague was right when he said the hoops program was "dead on the vine."

Show Notes

There is much debate on how the future of the College Football Playoff will and should look. On today's show, Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle give their opinions on how the CFP should be shaped moving forward, in terms of how many teams make the cut, how the seeding is determined and all the rest.

We also look ahead to spring ball which is less than a month away for the Buckeyes.

Also, unfortunately it appears as though Steve Helwagen was correct at this time last year when he told then-athletic director Gene Smith that OSU's basketball program was "dead on the vine." Smith didn't like the comment, but the truth hurts sometimes. The Buckeyes just suffered one of the most embarrassing losses we can remember, 70-49 at home against a bad Northwestern team.

But don't worry, the vast majority of the show is about Buckeye football. That is coming your way on the Friday 5ish.
