On this Monday episode of Buckeye Talk, Doug Lesmerises is joined by John Steppe of the Cedar Rapids Gazette and thegazette, com to preview Ohio State's seventh game of the 2022 football season -- against Iowa in Ohio Stadium on Oct. 22, with the Buckeyes coming off a bye.
Ohio State hasn't beaten Iowa since 2013, primarily because the teams have played just once since then, and the Hawkeyes upset the Buckeyes in Iowa City in 2017.
Iowa is coming off a 10-4 season that included a loss to Michigan in the Big Ten Championship Game. Kirk Ferentz is entering his 24th season as the head coach of the Hawkeyes. There's a quarterback decision to be made, and a search for some playmakers is on. But led by linebacker Jack Campbell and defensive coordinator Phil Parker, the defense should be pretty good again.
It's the Hawkeyes back in Columbus, and it's time to talk about it on the seventh episode of Buckeye Talk breaking down a 2022 OSU opponent. Thanks for listening.
