Show Notes

What if your best friend was also a doctor? And why would a high-risk OBGYN who's delivered thousands of babies pivot her career even though she loves what she does? While Dr. Tracy Shevell took time to pause in recovery from an unexpected surgery, she was still talking with patients every day, explaining, comforting, educating, and witnessing. That's when she had the classic, "aha!" moment. This, the part of her practice she was most passionate about, could be her full-time gig. She saw a void in perinatal care, one which often leaves women with a lack of support and questions that go unanswered during one of their most profound experiences. Tracy formed Blue Moon Perinatal in 2020 and has been offering one-on-one perinatal care for women ever since.  Listen in for an honest conversation with a physician who cares deeply about her patients and what it took to start the midlife business that connects all her professional dots.
