Ep 116The Last Round-Up...
Yes, Buckaroos, this is it. Don't expect any extra-special stuff in this show; it's just an ordinary episode, other than it's the last one. On October 9th, Buckaroo Holiday will disappear from Podbean. Not only will there be no more new shows, but the entire archive will also be gone without a trace. So, for a month, you can download as many older shows as you like. As I mention in this closing episode, we will be creating an online archive of all these old shows, and once that's up I'll share the information about it on my Patreon (on a "public" post you can access without a membership), so check in there if you want to know about that. I'm sorry I don't have the info just yet to put here, but I might amend this if we set that up soon enough. Buckaroo Holiday itself, new episodes and specials, will continue on Patreon. Here's the link to that: https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday I don't do any "tiers" or bullshit like that over there, so whether you join for a buck a month or some larger amount, it's up to you; the experience will be the same. It makes no sense to pay every year to keep this going on Podbean; as long as listenership was growing I was happy to pay the yearly fee, but - whether it was over comments of mine that people disliked, music they didn't dig, or just my repellent personality - it dwindled, and I'd rather direct my efforts to the more loyal audience on Patreon. If you have any questions about anything, I can be reached there, or at my email, mcvouty at opt online dot net (I may regret sharing that here, but I'l chance it, since it'll be gone in a month anyway... please don't harass me). I'm a little sad about this, but that ain't your problem and I won't go on about it except to say that making this show has meant a lot to me through a few incredibly weird and difficult years. If some of you also found it useful, interesting, and entertaining through your own lives and times, then it sorta succeeded. Thanks for your time and attention. My love and best wishes to you all - Sport

Ep 115SECOND ACTS! by special commission
Don't let the picture mislead you; no politics in this show. This is a show commissioned by our pal Irwin Chusid, who had a very specific and interesting brief. I'd explain it here, but why not save me the typing and just listen to me explain it on the show. Part 2 will be on Patreon soon: https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday This is one of our final Podbean shows.. switching strictly to Patreon come October, at which time this show and its archive goes poof. You're certainly welcome to join us there on Patreon, but, hey... not for nothin' but, "you do you." I know a dollar or two a month is a steep price for what I do here. Totally.

Ep 114Just what is this? Anyway?
Posted on a Sunday evening? Wha? This was going to be a quickie show to post Memorial Day weekend, just something to share as I worked on some of the pending commissions. Between one thing and another, then still another, andmoreagain, it got stalled, then stymied, then stuck. And now, whatever it is, it's yours. I'm posting it here on Podbean because... may as well, since we're still here for the time being. I guess it turns out to be a "regular" show, so I'll number it accordingly, according to the eccentric and meaningless logic of Buckaroo tradition. https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday

Ep 113A special commission. Long time no see!
Been months, I know. Courtesy of Rich, here is a new show on this long-neglected Podbean platform, a selection of songs written for motion pictures. There will be a part 2 on Patreon, among other special shows there, and then another commissioned show pertaining to LYRICS here. Enjoy these Podbean episodes while ye may. Special thanks to Jim Allen for critical assistance. https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday

Ep 112TOO SOON ...by special commission
Hello, all! We have a special commission here, dealing with artists who died before achieving their full potential (not necessarily people who merely "died young," because there's a shitload of those). Always nothing much more than guesswork, of course, but I'll explain some of my criteria and try to justify these choices as we go. There will be many more examples on part 2, coming up very soon on the Patreon. We can all thank Irwin Chusid for this commission and this fascinating idea; some of his own suggestions are included here, as well as others that will turn up on the next part. Thanks also to Jim Allen for some excellent additions to the canon. If you have any performers you want to argue for including, let me know. In the meantime, I tried to keep it varied, and hope you find it entertaining and informative. Buckaroo Holiday goes weekly on the Patreon from here on out, by the way, as a thank you to those supporters and their deeply appreciated support and loyalty. Join the fun: https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday

Ep 111Annual New Year's Eve Special!! PLEASE OBSERVE RULES (below) FOR BEST RESULTS!! (NOTE CHANGE BELOW)
UPDATE 7:04 PM, FIXED ERRORS - there was a slight problem with the previous file of this show... please re-download for best results if you already did that. Apologies. Dunno why, but there's no time to do ANYTHING properly this year, but I've burned the midnight oil to provide another virtual Buckaroo New Year's Eve for you fine people. Hope it passes muster! As always, here are the instructions, as told on our FIRST of these specials, way back in Covid days: For the full show, timed correctly, begin listening at exactly 11 pm, your time. If you'd rather come in later, there are lines of demarcation at the half hour mark (start there at 11:30) and 45 minute mark (start there at 11:45). Observing these SCIENTIFIC guidelines will ensure gay merriment... countdown and midnight eruption of bliss inclusive. Will it be precise? Greenwich mean time or whatever? Well, I won't guarantee that, but Christ, at these prices what do you expect? Thanks to all who've stuck with Buckaroo Holiday this year, when so many flew the coop. More shows to come, better than ever, bla bla. A very Happy New Year to all. BUY: https://www.fakechapter.com/album/daylight/ JOIN: https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday

Hope yez enjoy this celebration of how wonderful things sounded 50 years ago, and I thank those of you who donated to encourage this project. Ep 67Promise KEPT! Blizzard special
A little while back, Karl mentioned how nice it would be if, on some blizzardy NYC day, he and Elizabeth would discover a brand new Buckaroo Holiday to enjoy whilst huddling and hunkering. Touched by this, I promised to deliver exactly that. Now, As the snow outside my window piles higher and higher, I am posting that show. Maybe the LES is not as blizzardish as out here in my neck of the woods, but close enough. And if my power goes out, it'll be too late to post it. I CAN'T RISK THIS BETRAYAL OF MY SACRED PROMISE. But look, if you are not experiencing blizzardian conditions and wish to experience this show as intended, then hold off. Don't listen yet. Download it and keep it in your personal electronic device until the time is right. But then again, if you want to just listen anyway and not experience the anxious yearning that holding back would entail, go on ahead and do it. Here at Buckaroo Holiday we respect YOUR choices. We honor YOUR decisions regarding which entertainment to consume when. There will be a followup, companion show on the Patreon, for all you extra-special people. That will "drop" very soon. Again, save it for a snowy day or just rip open the bag and eat it immediately. To all: stay warm and be well, mon pals. https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday

Ep 6652 Pick-Up
