Learn about the upcoming literacy events with Literacy Specialist, Mollie Hill, and Mathematics Specialist, Alisha Inman-Cummings.

  • 2nd Annual Scavenger Hunt, March 6 - April 1

    • Passports will be sent home with students, Kindergarten through 5th Grade -- if your child doesn't receive one, the passports will be available in your child's campus office.

    • 5 locations throughout the city, where students will figure out riddles and receive stickers.

    • Once the passport is completed, the student can turn it in to be entered into a drawing for a Kindle -- the drawing will take place on April 3rd

  • "If All Arkansas Read the Same Book"

    • A competition across the state will have students read, "J.D. and the Great Barber Battle" by J. Dillard.

    • Teachers will read the book to students at school

    • There will be activities that go along with the storyline, which can be done at school and at home.

    • Partnered with EAST students who will record reading the book

  • Reading on the River, April 1

    • At Riverside Park from 10 am to 12 pm

    • Come to enjoy reading and fun activities!
