Batesville High School Charter (BHSC) EAST Facilitator, Lori Campbell, and students, Faith Cheatham and Brayden Johnson talk about the EAST program.

  • What is E.A.S.T. Initiative?

    • EAST is Education Accelerated by Service and Technology

    • It's an elective class that is self-led and project-based. Students choose a project to help someone in the community and use a range of professional-grade equipment and software.

  • BHSC EAST is gearing up for the National Conference in Hot Springs this March

    • Students present their projects and showcase them at their booth

      • "Through a Child's Eye" - a video that will be shown at the Children's Advocacy Center in April

      • Greenery at the Food Truck Lot

      • Podcast and book recording for the Pioneers RISE (QR Codes to their work will be placed in restaurants for advertisement)

    • Documentation Team

      • The team records the 3-day conference: video, live stream, and photographs.

      • BHSC students, Brayden Johnson, and Nelms are a part of the Documentation Team

  • EAST students are involved with the community

    • Partnerships such as the Batesville Community Center, Main Street, Chamber of Commerce, and more.
