The median age of homebuyers has been increasing. This is delaying any building of equity for these buyers. It is also putting pressure on the rental market, raising rents and making it even more difficult for people to save up for a down payment to buy a home. We discuss the issues with affordability, including the increases in property taxes, insurance, and maintenance/upkeep.
We also answer a listener question about what to do if you come into some extra money. There are many investments options out there - much more than just "stocks".
