Soledad O'Brien is an accomplished journalist, author, and television personality. She began her career as a reporter for local news stations in Boston, and later became an anchor for NBC News and CNN. O'Brien is best known for her work as the anchor of CNN's "American Morning" and as the host of the network's documentary series "Black in America" and "Latino in America." She has also been a correspondent for HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" and has hosted shows on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) and the National Geographic Channel. In addition to her broadcast work, O'Brien is the founder and CEO of the media production company Starfish Media Group, which produces documentaries and other content focused on social justice issues.
