Some of the most notorious Urban Legends across the globe involve creatures known as cryptids. Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, and the Yeti fall under this umbrella. There are numerous encounters with these monsters dating back hundreds of years, including one such creature that is said to terrorize the town of Bishopville, South Carolina. Scape Ore Swamp is said to be home to a 7ft tall bipedal lizard creature that is known to be extremely vicious. It attacks vehicles driving through this section of South Carolina with numerous first hand encounters dating all the back to the early 1900s. This creature is witnessed as being very territorial and it has even been known to kill.
