The world we live in is filthy—sin ruins the joy and peace of Christians. Our God is holy. He gives us His Holy Spirit so that we can be like Him. Jesus wants to help us. We have a God who saves and provides! We can have the peace of God today and every day if we choose to praise Him for all His goodness. As long as we have breath in our lungs we have reasons to praise!

Everyone is a candidate for salvation through Jesus Christ! Doctor John Easter shares incredible stories from the mission field that remind us of our holy calling—to tell others about the love of Jesus. We may not all be called to foreign countries, but we can be missionaries in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and families. Wherever God has placed us, we have the capacity to tell people about salvation!

People can be very aggravating. It is only by the Holy Spirit working within us that we can avoid lashing out at others sometimes! Our lives are testimonies of the Lord—we’d better handle things well. The Bible says that it is to our glory to overlook an offense. We Christians don’t pray for patience often enough. Let’s pray for patience from the Holy Spirit so that we can glorify God when altercations arise.

Only God can take a damaged past—heartbreak, substance abuse, adultery—and create a beautiful life. When we say yes to Jesus by accepting His gift of salvation and following Him every day, He turns our lives around! No matter how far down we go, Jesus can always bring us back to glory. What does God want to do in your life? Will you say yes to Him today?

We all need a Samuel experience. Remember Samuel from the Bible? When God called him as a young child, Samuel said, “Speak, Lord.” All Israel’s history was changed because a little boy received a word from the Lord. Let’s pray to have open hearts to whatever God wants us to hear! Our lives can be radically changed by a few powerful words if they’re from the Lord. He’s speaking today. Are we listening?

We tend to think that greatness comes by pushing our way to the top. But God's way are upside down from ours—He tells us that if we want to be lifted up, we need to humble ourselves. How can we be full of pride when Jesus went down to the cross for us? Through His grace and humility, God brought Him up to glory. Let’s be humble today—and be more like Jesus.

In life, we all face trials—illness, heartbreak, employment issues, the loss of loved ones. How can we be thankful amid these challenges? Our God is full of grace, mercy, and compassion. He holds us when we feel like everything is falling apart. The Lord is always working, and that’s a reason to be grateful! Let’s thank God for how He heals, holds, and guides us.

We are guaranteed hardships in our Christian lives. Friends will hurt and betray us—it happened to Jesus and Paul! We need to have spiritual maturity during trials. Obstacles in life don't mean God has abandoned us. He will always walk through the hard times with us, and He provides earthly friends to support us, too. Thank the Lord for His faithfulness and for godly friends!

We Christians often hear that the Holy Spirit lives inside of us, but He doesn’t want to just stay there! If we submit to Him, the Holy Spirit manifests Himself through our words and actions so that others can see Jesus in us. When we allow the Holy Spirit to work this way, we reflect the power of a living God. Let’s pray for the Holy Spirit to manifest Himself in our lives. He will do things beyond our imaginations!

All disasters start with little things—a disagreement, a slip-up, an ego. There are always repercussions to our actions! Samson saw this a woman he never should have been with led him to break his covenant with God. Every choice we make either draws us nearer to God or pushes us farther away. No matter how far we drift, God always helps us when we sincerely call on Him! Praise Him for His goodness!

We can’t change what we don’t confront. The Angel of the Lord wrestled with Jacob and asked him to define the strongholds in his life. Once we, like Jacob, name our battles, we can defeat them! God uses every crisis we face to change us and draw us closer to Him. It’s time we stop running from our problems and hand them over to God!

Jesus made something very clear: in this life, we will have pain. Just because we’re Christians doesn’t mean we’ll escape hardships; it means we have God Almighty to run to and trust in when those hard times come. Pain is not a punishment—it’s an invitation for us to experience God more. The choice of how we react to pain is completely up to us. God is always good—even when our circumstances aren’t.

When we are hurt, it’s imperative that we learn to forgive and let go. Being bitter is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to be affected! Forgiving others does not excuse their behavior or diminish our pain; rather, it frees us to heal. We only hurt ourselves further by holding onto unforgiveness. By the grace of God, let’s forgive others.

Every day we face decisions that require wisdom. How can we be wise enough to make the right choice every time? On our own, we can’t! We need to ask God for wisdom and believe that He’s going to provide it. God never intended for us to walk around making unwise decisions. He wants to give us the wisdom we need—we just have to ask Him with fervent belief.

Jesus says to all of us, "Come." For some people, that's an invitation to be saved from their sins. For those of us who already believe in Jesus but may have strayed, it's an invitation to come back to Him. Every one of us can go to Jesus with our messes, brokenness, and problems, and He’ll make us right as we abide in Him. God doesn’t need us to fix ourselves before we come to Him—He does the fixing! Let's come to Jesus today.

How amazing is it that Almighty God wants to be with us? He keeps our prayers in Heaven—they are that precious to Him! In our churches and our personal lives, we need to spend more time in prayer. The most effective stance we have against Satan is a strong prayer life. The Holy Spirit makes us aware of situations we can avoid when we spend time with Him. Let’s get praying!

Education and status are pursued by people every day. But these things are meaningless when it comes to revelation—what the Holy Spirit reveals to believers about God. The world seeks its own kind of wisdom, but it's only through the Spirit that we can truly be wise—for salvation, to grow in our Christian lives, or to walk in spiritual victory. Christianity is hopeless without the Holy Spirit!

Good things don’t just happen—they occur when God’s people work with and for Him to bring His good will all over the earth. Jesus doesn’t need us—He is the Light of the world. He knows exactly who we are and how we’ve failed, but He invites us to participate anyway! Tomorrow is never promised, and yesterday is passed. We only have today—let’s share Jesus’s light with the world!

Deception is everywhere. Leaders, relationships, and situations all can lead us away from the will of God if we aren’t careful. Whether it’s a new job opportunity, a potential partner, or an event invitation, we need to seek the Lord about everything. No matter how long we’ve attended church, we can still be fooled. Let’s be on guard against the deceptive ways of the devil today and every day.

Have you ever felt prompted to speak to or pray with a stranger? That prompting comes from the Holy Spirit! When we follow Him, He speaks through us to the people God brings our way. We need to care for others more than we care for ourselves—and we need to do it humbly. With God’s help, we can bless and uplift those who need it.

How frequently do we tell God how to answer our prayers? We get caught up in the trials and temptations of our lives, and we imagine mighty, miraculous solutions about how God should do His job! But all we’re supposed to do is surrender our burdens to God in prayer—then trust Him and obey whatever He tells us to do. He’s got it!

We want to be liked by others so much that we forget to tell a lost and dying world about the love of God. It’s time to tell someone the gospel! Just someone hearing the gospel is a victory—Jesus can work in that person's heart with what he or she heard! When we pray for opportunities to witness, God will set up divine appointments. Let’s live with eternity in mind and love the lost.

God—the Creator of the universe—knows us each by name. He has a purpose for our lives. He loves us more than anything else in the world! The apostle Paul saw that love firsthand when Jesus called him by name and radically changed his life. Another man, Annanias, was also called by name to do something great for God. The Lord calls us all to something. Let’s be available to Him.

Although we may not feel like it, every Christian body is a temple for the Holy Spirit—God Almighty is living inside born-again believers! The odd thing is, we still try to act with our human desires, and thus we don’t please God. Only the life-changing power of the Spirit can make us do things for Christ! Tell your human spirit that it’s not in control of your life—God is!

What a curse grumbling is! The Lord has given us more than we could ever need, yet we still find ways to complain. But God is with us, and He has a purpose for our circumstances. We should give Him thanks in the hard times as well as the good—the Bible tells us to be thankful for everything! Let’s pray for spirits of thankfulness today. May we never forget God’s goodness.

Jesus told us that we would do even greater works than He did—but what does that mean? We often aren’t even bold enough to share our faith or overcome sins in our daily lives! But it's not up to us to convert people or produce spiritual fruit on our own! If we just get in the presence of God and behold His holiness, He will fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit. We’ll be so full of awe that we can’t keep God's love to ourselves! Let’s behold the Lord's goodness today and watch what happens.

The difference between being rich and poor could be as simple as one good deed. A five-dollar bill doesn’t mean much here on earth—but if it’s used to bless others, it has extreme value in heaven! On the other hand, $50,000 on earth is meaningless if it is used only for selfish reasons. If we have Christ, we are rich! Let's be like Him and bless others today!

Taking up a cross sounds like a daunting task. We all have a spiritual cross to bear—not to punish us, but to set us free! As Christians, we have to surrender our own will for our lives in favor of God’s will. We must lay our sins at the cross, but we can’t get there on our own. The power of the Holy Spirit takes the wills and ways that we offer, and He gives us new life! If we show up in faith, the Spirit meets us there.

Life is a waiting game—waiting for the train, a call, a delivery. What’s important is how we act during those times. As Christians, we are waiting for the return of Christ. Until then, we represent Him here on earth! Do our words and actions reflect the love and holiness of God our Father? We are commanded to be holy, even in waiting periods. Only through the Holy Spirit can we succeed.

Haven't we all tried telling God how to run our lives? We connect all the dots and explain to the Lord how He should fix our issues—but the more we run the show, the worse it gets! Our Father wants us to trust Him, not control Him. Beautiful things happen when we release our hold on life and let God make it better than anything we could ever do ourselves!

Sometimes what seems logical is not actually best. Abraham found that out when he ran to Egypt during a famine and ended up in big trouble with the leader of the land! God has a perfect plan—and moving away from His will can send us into a spiral. But praise God, even when we wander, we can go back to where God wants us to be! His arms are always open to welcome us home.

We live in a society that pitches different ways we can totally change our lives. The reality is, we can’t change ourselves. But we don’t have to! God Almighty offers us transformation, including forgiveness and freedom. If we live like we’re in control, we will fail over and over again. But if we believe God to work within us, He will do in us all that we need Him to!

If we wake up every morning doubting God’s goodness and wondering whether He will be true to His word, we are terribly blotting His holy name and reputation! One of Satan’s greatest lies is that God won’t bless us. But God is good—He loves us and does not forget His children. No matter what we face or how we feel, we can declare that the Lord will bless us!

As we journey toward heaven, trouble finds us along the way! We get wronged or offended, and we feel all alone. But as the apostle Paul at the end of his life made clear to young Timothy, we’re never alone. God is with us, and He’ll bring us through anything! When we are let down by others, we must remember that the Lord will make things right. What we’re going through is not forever. One day we'll see Jesus, and He will wipe every tear from our eyes!

Diseases like cancer can only kill our bodies—but discouragement destroys the soul. Whatever we face, though—sickness, financial instability, or heartbreak—we must never give up. The bigger the trial, the more we need to pray about it! Jesus said to persistently ask for answers to our prayers. In the mighty name of Jesus, let’s press on through life’s hardships!

We can’t take advantage of what we have if we don’t know we have it! But too many of us Christians don’t realize the full power of God's Spirit who lives within us. The Holy Spirit makes us know that we are God's children. He teaches and guides us. He even tells us what to say when we're challenged about our faith. Let's lean into His power today!

Are we in full agreement with God’s calling? We must have the right attitude about His direction. We shouldn’t have contingencies for following Jesus—we have to be one hundred percent ok with what He asks, because we know He will equip us for it! Imagined how blessed our lives would be if we stopped fighting God and simply said “Yes” to Him right away. Let’s fully trust and follow the Lord our Savior!

When people and pressures come hard against us, it's easy to want to quit. But God has given us exactly what we need to overcome, even in the hardest times: the Holy Spirit. We can't win the fight with evil, but the Spirit of God inside us can. And when we open our hearts to Him every single day, He will fill us and make our lives sweet and beautiful. What a gift God has given us!

God loves it when His people sing—He’s not afraid of some noise! The world has hijacked music, making it vulgar and violent. But children of God use music to worship our loving Savior. He is our good shepherd, and He’s worthy of praise! Today is the only day we have—let’s worship Him in song.

Some Christians are like the wandering Israelites—moving but going nowhere. Just going to church isn’t enough. We ought to take God’s Word at face value and run toward all He promises us! There’s so much God can do in and through us if we get out of the spiritual wilderness of besetting sin, discouragement, and contempt. Let’s make a new beginning today—no more wilderness, only Jesus!

God wants our lives to be fruitful. But if we’re not dwelling on the things of the Lord and we're allowing garbage into our hearts, we can’t be mad at God when we aren’t seeing fruit! We must seek God every day to live abundantly joyful and peaceful lives.

What is Satan trying to steal from you? He doesn't want your money or your car—he wants to take your joy and peace, your love for the Lord, and your purpose. But praise the Lord, Jesus recovers stolen property! Whatever has been stolen from our spiritual lives, we can rest in knowing that, as we cry out to Jesus, He will get it back.

Anxiety, materialism, and unforgiveness are like fevers in our souls. When we harbor these feelings, our spiritual health gets so hot that it becomes unstable. We hear one wrong word, and boom, we break down! What could possibly heal us? Only a touch from Jesus. His peaceful and restorative power works instantly. Let’s plead with Him today to touch and heal us and remove any feverish outlook from our lives.

In the Old Testament, the prophet Haggai encouraged the Jewish people to prioritize building God’s physical house over theirs. God used to dwell in a physical temple, but no more. We, His people, are His temple! Now, as believers in Jesus Christ, we must prioritize building God’s spiritual house over our interests.

When we feel downhearted and utterly defeated—remember, God isn’t bestowing that feeling! Satan lays guilt on us, but God says “There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). Look up from your earthly struggles! Don’t define yourself by what you see—define yourself by Whose you are. There’s nothing that the devil can hold against you that beats the power of Jesus.

Too often we enjoy Jesus at church—but He's not so prominent in our homes. Why? Because we let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn down in our lives. But as the Lord instructed Moses, "the fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out" (Leviticus 6:13). Let's rekindle the fire by seeking God again! When we do, He will not fail to heal our families and our homes.

It’s a shame that many of us have gotten lazy in our faith—we don’t prioritize worship like we did when we first got saved. The problem in Americanized Christianity is that we’ve expected church to be entertainment instead of adoration of Almighty God! Let’s humble ourselves and plug back into church. We are there to serve, grow, and worship, not to be entertained!

The world’s language is judgment, but the language of Christ is love. When we see a brother or sister struggling with sin or caught up in harmful matters, it is not our place to judge or shame them—we must gently and lovingly bring them back to God. Jesus bore our sins instead of judging us. If He could do so great a feat of love, we can choose to help those who need it!

Christians aren’t using the Holy Spirit enough. It’s not emotionalism or fanaticism—the Scriptures detail gifts of the Spirit such as faith, healing, and prophecy. We must ask God for our hearts, minds, and spirits to be not just indwelt but filled by the Holy Spirit. Only then can we experience His power from heaven. Don't work. Wait for the Father's gift. We can't do the work we're supposed to do without it. We can be sincere and even saved, but without power. All born-again Christians have the Holy Spirit, but God promised the twelve something more. We need to be filled, ongoing. Not emotionalism—the true filling of the Holy Spirit. Some Christians think the fullness of the Holy Spirit was already given and we get no more. But that's not true of examples in Scripture, or in church history.

Typhoons are wildly turbulent—but underneath the storm is a peaceful stillness. In the same way, Christians face turmoil in the world every day, but we can live with peace in our hearts because of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. God dwells in peace. Any thought that brings agitation to our hearts and minds is the devil trying to rob us of peace—don’t let him! To live with Jesus in our lives is to live with peace.
