Show Notes

On today’s episode, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with someone that he has been a fan of for nearly 20 years, dating back to “Legally Blonde: The Search for the Next Elle Woods,” the one and only Autumn Hurlbert. Autumn has also been seen on Broadway in “Legally Blonde” and “Tammy Faye,” on tour in “Something Rotten!” and “Little Women,” and in dozens of regional shows around the country.

Currently, she is starring as Beverly Bass (and others) in “Come From Away” at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter, Florida. Performances began on Tuesday, Jan. 6, and will run through Sunday, Jan. 25. In their conversation, Autumn and Matt discuss how important the message of “Come From Away” is today, how her 11 o’clock number “Me and the Sky” resonates far beyond the context of the show, and (of course) the legacy of “Legally Blonde.”
