Show Notes
There have been some BIG headlines once again in Brisbane based on some BIG data trends that have been reported. The media have a huge influence on the market and therefore in this episode, we wanted to unpack the truth about data and how is it used to create different media headlines.
There are a lot of discrepancies in the data that can be recorded by different groups. We talk through some of the differences in the data that have been reported since Brisbane's median dwelling values hit a peak in June 2022. We also discuss how much of a difference actually exists between different data sets to help consumers understand why relying on data alone can be a mistake.
We also discuss how data in real estate is collected and why its reliability and accuracy can sometimes be questionable. This episode will remind you about the importance of on-the-ground research and why being active in the market you are looking to buy in makes the most sense.
