Show Notes

Tropical Cyclone Narelle, downgraded to category-two, makes second landfall near Cape Shield in Arnhem Land, bringing gusts up to 130km/h and threatening communities in Australias Top End. This cyclone, expected to affect three states and territories, has already caused flooding and damage in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Locals in Borroloola and other affected areas were prepared, but extra rain has added to water levels. Flood and shelter warnings remain active, with gusts potentially reaching 165km/h and over 200mm of rain expected in gulf towns and inland Northern Territory areas. Narelle is expected to weaken further into a tropical low, but theres a chance it could rebuild into a cyclone near the Northern Territory-Western Australia border.
