The mystery surrounding the extinction of the mighty Megalodon has kept scientists guessing, but recent discoveries shed light on the ancient predator's demise. Climate change is now believed to be a significant factor, as shifts in ocean temperatures impacted the Megalodon's primary food sources. With its reliance on a specific ecological niche, any disruption in the marine ecosystem would have had a cascading effect on this giant shark. The emergence of smaller, more adaptable predators might have also played a role, outcompeting the Megalodon for resources.
