Imagine a giant black hole deciding to play cosmic hide-and-seek! Astronomers have discovered supermassive black holes before, but in 2020, they found one that had been ejected from its galaxy. This behemoth, estimated to be millions of times the mass of our Sun, had been set into motion by the gravitational forces of two other black holes spiraling toward each other. The energy generated by their dance of death flung this massive black hole out of its home galaxy at a staggering speed of millions of miles per hour, creating a celestial game of catch-me-if-you-can.
