Zombie planets are like the undead of the cosmos. These are planets that were once alive, bustling with geological activity, but now they're basically dead, or at least undead. They've lost their internal heat and geological mojo, so they just sort of drift through space, like cosmic zombies. Scientists study them to understand how planets evolve and die. It's a bit like exploring a celestial graveyard, trying to figure out what went wrong in these planets' afterlives.
