Scripture: Daniel 3:16-18
“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.””
INTRODUCTION: Faith is purified by the fire of trials.
Daniel's friends had a furious adversary...
Furious with rage, Nebuchandenezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego...
-Daniel 3:13
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8
Daniel's friends had faith...

Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Daniel's friends had courage...
But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.

Be courageous; be strong...
-1 Corinthians 16:13
CONCLUSION: Like Daniel's friends, we can have courageous faith!
