The Rolin Erickson Montana Resources Opportunity Scholarship, backed by the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation and Montana Resources, continues to empower first-generation college students from Butte attending Montana Technological University. This full-ride, four-year scholarship, launched in 2017, has already benefited thirty students, with sixteen more set to join in the 2026-2027 academic year. The program not only covers tuition but also provides academic, financial, and job preparation support through the TRIO Student Support Services STEM program. To qualify, students must apply to Montana Tech.
