Show Notes
Ron Gray was a tough heavyweight who fought on both Muhammad Ali-Henry Cooper bills in the UK back in the 1960s.
Ron was friends with the great middleweight Randy Turpin and was even his housemate for a while, he was also a prolific fighter in the boxing booths and knew everyone on the fight scene, in and out of the ring.
In retirement, Ron experienced just about every role, including as matchmaker and manager and as a promoter he ran Midlands boxing for years, working with The Cartel, Barry Hearn and Frank Warren over several decades.
