Adam had a tag for the first week and John the second. There were multiple birds called in however the they were unable to harvest a bird. On this weeks podcast Adam, his brother Drew and Uncle Frank rehash their experiences at the family deer camp on the trip up this bow season. Both Adam and Drew were able to harvest deer, on the same day their other brother Dustin harvested a mule deer in South Dakota. All three Miller boys harvested deer on the same day for the first time in their lives, a special day indeed. Uncle Frank weighs in on his thoughts of TV hunters as well as his time in camp and talks about some of his past hunts. The deer we shot this season at camp were not the caliber of deer that social media tells you that you are supposed to shoot, however we had the most successful hunt we have had in years and our freezers are full because of it. This week we spoke with Curtis Zabel from Behind the Bow. Curtis is a passionate public land bowhunter from Wisconsin who is also passionate about videography and film making, and telling a story in particular. This week we talk to Greg Litzinger, a very accomplished archer on many fronts. Greg hunts primarily state land in the heavily pressured state of New Jersey and has had tremendous success. Greg also at one time struggled with target panic and, with the help of his coach, was able to not only over come it, but that process lead him to start shooting 3D where he has excelled and won many medals including the 2017 New Jersey State Champion. Jason Meekhof is the Upper Great Lakes Chapter Coordinator of the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. Jason is essentially the "facilitator of things" for the upper great lakes region including Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ohio. Jason was a founding member of the Michigan Chapter of BHA and was also its first chairperson.
