Plymouth Police Officer and Husband Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges
A suspended Plymouth police officer, Samantha Pelrine, and her husband, Daniel Forand, were arrested Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting a young boy they had taken into their home. The couple was taken into custody peacefully at their residence. The accuser, a man in his early twenties, filed an affidavit detailing the abuse, which occurred when he lived with the couple starting at age twelve in 2018. Pelrine was suspended from her job the same day the accuser expressed fears for his safety after moving out in February. The pair will be booked at the State Police Barracks in Middleboro before arraignment in Plymouth District Court, with charges still pending and no comments from either side yet.
