Two young men from Lynn sentenced to at least nine years in prison for manslaughter in a shooting death behind a local high school. Alan Bernadin and Nathaniel Mercedat admitted their roles in killing Brian Gomez, a twenty-year-old from Salem, in April 2022. Gomez was remembered as a vibrant young man with a promising music career. Mercedat also faced additional charges for assaulting another inmate in jail.
