Janet M. Swallow, a sixty-eight-year-old nursing pioneer from Danvers, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born in Rockville Centre, New York, she earned a nursing degree from Boston College and built a distinguished career in critical care and intensive care units at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. Janet was a beloved figure to colleagues and patients alike. In her personal life, she enjoyed reading, beach time, and cherished moments with family. She leaves behind two sons, two grandchildren, a sister, a brother, and close friends. Visiting hours are on March 22 from one to four p.m. at C. R. Lyons and Sons Funeral Directors in Danvers. Donations in her memory can be made to Northeast Animal Shelter.
