Dave McGillivray, a 71-year-old race director, is set to run his 54th Boston Marathon, this time with his kids Max, Luke, and Elle. Hell start the race, sending off athletes, and join his family later. McGillivrays marathon journey began in 1972 and has continued annually, even after dropping out his first year. Hes honoring his ex-wife, Susan Hurley, who passed away last year, and supporting charity runners. His kids are fundraising for various causes, and retired NASA astronaut Sunita Williams will join them in wave two.
