Roy Rogers, a forward from the University of Alabama, wore jersey number ninety-nine for the Boston Celtics in the late nineties. Drafted twenty-second overall in 1996, he played for the Vancouver Grizzlies before being traded to the Celtics in 1997. Despite his brief stint with the team, averaging just 0.8 points per game, his number ninety-nine remains a part of the Celtics rich history.
