On this day, we celebrate the birthdays of three early Boston Celtics players: Cornelius Connie Simmons, Brady Walker, and John Janisch. Simmons, born in 1925, was a founding player of the Basketball Association of America, averaging 9.4 points per game. Walker, born in 1921, joined the Celtics through a dispersal draft in 1949, while Janisch, born in 1920, played just three games in 1947. In more recent times, Coty Clarke made his NBA debut in 2016, playing for the Indiana Pacers.
