Mellody Hobson is the President of Ariel Investments, a Chicago-based investment firm with $12.4 billion in assets under management. She is the first African-American woman to chair the Economic Club of Chicago and sits on the board of Starbucks and Estee Lauder. She is committed to promoting diversity and thinks we should all talk about race more openly.
