House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is pushing a bipartisan bill that would make more first-time drug offenders eligible to have their criminal records erased, but the Brooklyn Democrat is facing at least one potentially significant obstacle: Rep. Jim Jordan, the Ohio Republican who heads the House Judiciary Committee and will decide whether or not the bill gets a critical committee vote.
