It's a special La Calaca episode of the Borderless Podcast. As our town, San Miguel de Allende, is celebrating Mexico's Day of the Dead, many are coming to visit. We talk to Matthew Brown, Jonathan's new associate in his artesanal mezcal business, about how his parents came to Mexico to give birth to him—in order to give him a chance at more freedom. He'll discuss his life of living in the country, helping make mezcal and reforesting wild agave.
Then our friend, PanAm Post's Fergus Hodgson, pops in to share the experience of his visit to Cuba, what it's really like and his frank conclusions about the potential for more freedom there.
